Mayor’s Annual Gala Dinner to be hosted at The Royal Hotel Scarborough

12th Jan 2009

Tickets are now on sale for the Mayor’s Gala Dinner, which is being held at The Royal Hotel Scarborough on Friday February 27.

The event, which is regarded as one of the highlights of the area’s social calendar, will be hosted by the Mayor of the Borough of Scarborough, Cllr Eileen Vickers and her consort Gordon in association with the Rotary Club of Scarborough Cavaliers.

The event will include a sumptious three-course dinner, a disco provided by Phil Laycock and a raffle and auction where guests can bid for exciting prizes.

Tickets priced at £35 are now on sale, with all proceeds going to the Mayoress’s Community Fund, which benefits local groups and organisations throughout the borough, including Filey, Scarborough and Whitby.

Cllr Vickers told the Scarborough Evening News: “Gordon and I are now getting quite excited about the thought of hosting one of the special events in the local social calendar and we hope that we can look forward to support from local people so that we have a great night and raise some money for the Mayoress’ Community Fund.”
