The Honeymoon Suite

The Royal Hotel has 118 well-appointed en-suite rooms, refurbished in recent years to the highest standards and offering perhaps the finest accommodation in Scarborough.

Individually designed, the bedrooms at The Royal provide a subtle blend of traditional and contemporary styles, many with wonderful sea views over the harbour and South Bay.

Many rooms enjoy superb panoramic views over the rolling countryside and all include bath, shower, direct dial telephone, TV and tea/coffee making facilities.

The hotel offers a wide range of room types for guests to choose from including, beautifully furnished double, twin and single bedrooms, family rooms, a selection of superior and executive accommodation and 8 luxury suites – each with their own private bedroom, lounge area and bathroom.

The Royal Suite

This spacious, traditionally styled suite provides living area, king size, four-poster bed, ample wardrobe space and well-appointed en suite bathroom with Jacuzzi bath. Situated at the front of the hotel The Royal Suite offers views overlooking St. Nicholas Street. Ideal for honeymoon couples.

The Laughton Suite

This spacious, traditionally styled suite provides large sitting-room with sea views across the town hall gardens, well-appointed en suite bathroom and bedroom with king size, part canopied bed.

The Sitwell Suite

Contemporary, modern styled suite with small lounge and glass walled, en suite bathroom. Highlights include king size bed, flat screen TV, DVD player, large freestanding bath and sea views over harbour and South Bay. A popular choice for honeymoon couples.

The Churchill Suite

Small entrance halls leads to beautiful, traditional style sitting room with oak paneled walls and excellent views across the harbour and South Bay. Suite also comprises of good-sized bathroom and beautifully decorated bedroom with king size bed and ample wardrobe space.

The Ayckbourn Suite

The largest of all our suites, traditionally styled with spacious sitting room, separate dining/conference area, bedroom with king size bed and well-appointed en suite bathroom plus separate WC. Situated to the side of the hotel with south facing aspect.

The Princess Helena Suite

Contemporary, modern styled suite with small lounge, spacious bedroom with king sized bed and en suite bathroom. Situated at the front of the hotel The Princess Helena Suite offers superb sea views across St. Nicholas Street down to the harbour and beautiful South Bay.

The Beryl Evette Suite

This spacious, traditionally styled two bedroom suite provides good sized sitting room with dining area, double bedroom with king size bed, adjoining single bedroom and well-appointed bathroom. Situated at the top of the hotel. Not suitable for those requiring lift access.

The Gordon Suite

Spacious, traditionally styled suite comprising of; generously sized sitting room with dining area and excellent views across the old town to the castle headland, harbour and sea; double bedroom with king size bed and well-appointed bathroom. Situated at the top of the hotel. Not suitable for those requiring lift access.
